Professor Mauro Perretti has been awarded a £500k grant from Barts charity
Professor Mauro Perretti has been awarded a grant from Barts charity of around £500K, serving to leverage nearly £1M in support. This was jointly awarded with ResoTher Pharma to develop RTP-026 a peptide developed by Prof Perretti’s team at QMUL. The grant is entitled “ A New Therapeutic Approach to Cardioprotection for Myocardial Infarction patients. “A Patent Know- How and Acquisition agreement was signed between QMUL and ResoTher Pharma in 2016. A further collaboration agreement and side letter has been signed in June 2020 that defines the collaborative research programme and commercial terms re sublicensing or an exit event for ResoTher Pharma. A reimbursement arrangement to Bart Charity is included in the side letter
