Vision Semantics

Re-identification without facial recognition.

Queen Mary Innovation » Spinouts » Vision Semantics

Vision Semantics successfully exited to Veritone in 2022.

The re-identification technology uses AI to track objects through video recognition software without performing facial recognition or other biometric identification.

Founded by Professor Gong, Vision Semantics was built on decades of research to develop systems that can track and identify public space activities whilst preserving privacy. A major advantage of not relying upon facial recognition is that it can be used when poor quality images make facial recognition impossible.

The re-identification technology has been used by police forces internationally, helping to solve an Australian murder case and a $32M theft case in the US.

By joining Veritone, a leading AI platform provider, Vision Semantics is helping to create a safer, more responsible, and cleaner society.
