Senior Commercialisation Manager (Biopharma)
The Senior Commercialisation Manager is an important position in our Biopharma team, playing a significant role in initiating and maintaining an effective commercialisation strategy for opportunities principally from the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry.
Reporting to the Associate Commercialisation Director, you will contribute to the delivery of a range of outputs including technology disclosures, protection of university IP, license and investment transactions, and new venture formation.
You will have a strong background in medical or life sciences with a PhD or business qualification. You will have knowledge of translational pathways and an understanding of technology transfer in higher education, or equivalent experience in the private sector together with a proven record of deal making and spinout formation. You will also have excellent communication and project management skills.

Queen Mary has a vibrant but scattered entrepreneurial community, we need to expand support and build connectivity across the community at all career stages, from students to professors.
In this exciting role, you will coordinate and execute an integrated programme of events focussed on entrepreneurship, in a variety of formats, enhanced by cohesive marketing and comms activity.
You will work closely and collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that events are well planned and executed, within budget, and meet the desired objectives.
You will contribute to enhancing the University’s entrepreneurship brand and achieving its strategic goals through effective marketing and communications, and event management.
Reporting to the Innovation Comms Manager at QMI, and working closely with the Associate Director – Entrepreneurship and the University’s Head of Events and Ceremonies, you will help connect and grow the entrepreneurship environment through collective events and cohesive marketing and communication, supporting a step change in this activity across the whole university community.

CEO – Nilocas
Nilocas are developing a medical device to revolutionise the detection of coronary artery disease. The technology is a patch placed on the chest which captures the sounds and skin movements of disturbed blood flow as it navigates through coronary arteries narrowed due to disease. It could be used by a nurse outside of a hospital, so people can be diagnosed earlier and more efficiently.
Your focus as CEO will be to guide the device through product development, regulatory approval, and market introduction while building strategic partnerships and securing funding to fuel the company’s growth.
