Nemisindo

Generating unique sound effects in real time

Nemisindo deliver procedural audio technologies and services for the game development sector based on innovative procedural audio technology. They aim to completely remove the reliance on sample libraries for sound effects by offering intuitive tools to generate any sound.

The technology is more creative than simply using pre-recorded sounds that are never quite what’s wanted. Nemisindo can generate sounds that have never been recorded. They can be shaped and crafted at the point of creation, breaking through the limitations of sampled sounds.

Imagine your in-game character drops an object. What should it sound like? That depends on the object, what it landed on, and the acoustics of the environment you’re in. All of which is impossible to get just right if relying on a library of pre-recorded sounds. Nemisindo generates new sounds from the ground up in real time, maximising realism and immersion.

Nemisindo has raised significant grant funding and is currently selling software direct to consumer, with new products continually being launched. They will be raising a £1m seed round towards the end of 2026 to secure significant B2B contracts which is where the strongest opportunity lies.

Nemisindo is founded by serial entrepreneur Prof Josh Reiss, veteran founder of LANDR (an industry-leading music AI company), Waveshaper AI, and RoEx.
