ReFleks
Regenerative therapy to repair joint damage, treat osteoarthritis, and provide lasting pain relief.

ReFleks is raising substantial investment to advance a pioneering regenerative therapy to repair joint damage, treat osteoarthritis, and provide lasting pain relief.
The global osteoarthritis therapeutics market is projected to exceed $16bn by 2030, while the cartilage repair market is expected to grow by 17.2% a year from $2bn, driven by an ageing population, increasing obesity rates, and a rising number of sports- and trauma-related joint injuries.
There are no approved therapies that halt or reverse osteoarthritis. Doctors try to manage the pain until replacing joints becomes unavoidable. ReFleks will transform how osteoarthritis is treated by addressing the underlying cause rather than simply its symptoms.
Developed by Dr Suzanne Eldridge and Prof Francesco Dell’Accio, the ReFleks therapy would be delivered through a single injection, providing a minimally invasive approach to regenerate damaged cartilage, relieve pain and restore joint function. It is equally effective in isolated cartilage defects and fully established osteoarthritis lesions.
The investment round will fund key value-inflection milestones, including GLP toxicology studies; chemistry, manufacturing and controls development; and a first-in-human Phase 1/2a clinical trial.
